Upon first encountering Regina King’s character (Rayne Johnson), she seems to be the obedient secretary to an investment manager. At a bus station, she becomes entangled in a mob slaying, but two police detectives quickly whisk her away. She is unaware that these cops are unscrupulous and pursuing the profits from a drug deal her boss is involved in. However, appearances can be deceptive. These corrupt police officers believe that Rayne is merely a timid financial assistant. But in reality, her character is a stripper, lap dancer, and hooker who is assisting her boss (the owner of the strip club where she works) on a drug deal. Rayne manipulates everyone and anyone who is chasing the money, leading to another shoot-out.
