During the course of their efforts to save the life of an innocent girl, an ICE agent who is battling with the moral difficulties of border security and an illegal lady who is attempting to flee a deadly cartel come into contact with one another and collaborate.
Esmee, a young lady who is employed as a private dancer in Mexico, is compelled to carry out a violent act of self-defense, which ultimately results in the death of a member of a cartel. As a result, she decides to leave her country of origin in search of refuge in the United States. While traveling, she makes friends with a young mother and her daughter. A fierce coyote and a group of undocumented immigrants accompany her on her journey. The mother gets separated from the group just prior to crossing the border, and Esmee makes a pledge to protect her daughter and assist them in reuniting in the United States. This moment marks the beginning of a narrative that weaves together the experiences of those who are attempting to survive on the border between the United States and Mexico.
